Ackley went 0-for-4 Tuesday out of the leadoff spot, dropping his average to .238.

Analysis: Ackley's spot atop the lineup gave the struggling Chone Figgins the night off. Ackley, though, is doing his best not to pressure manager Eric Wedge into making a permanent change. He still hasn't homered since March 28 in Japan, and his OBP is sub-.300. Ackley's not going to lose playing time, but he could force Wedge's hand in terms of the leadoff spot if he was clearly a better option than Figgins.
