Yankees sign David Aardsma
The New York Yankees added depth to their bullpen, signing reliever David Aardsma to a one-year deal with an option for the 2013 season.
Aardsma missed the entire 2011 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in July. He is expected to return from the surgery midway through the 2012 season.
The former 1st round pick of the Giants found a home in Seattle in 2009 and 2010, recording 69 saves in 78 opportunities. In his career, he has compiled a 13-15 record with a 4.20 ERA for the Giants, Cubs, White Sox, Red Sox and Mariners.
