Indians avoid arbitration with Asdrubal Cabrera
The Cleveland Indians have avoided arbitration with shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera on a one-year contract.
Cabrera had asked for $5.2 million while the team countered with $3.75 million. No terms of the deal have been released.
Last season, Cabrera hit .273 with career highs in home runs with 25 and RBI with 92. He was named to his first All-Star game and was a winner of a Silver Slugger award.
