Rangers, Andrus agree to terms on 3-year deal

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXsports.com, the Texas Rangers have agreed to terms with shortstop Elvis Andrus.

The deal is reportedly for three years and in the $14-15 million total range.  By reaching an agreement, the Rangers and Andrus will avoid arbitration.  Andrus was asking for $3.6 million, and the Rangers were offering $2.65 million.

Andrus hit .279 along with 5 home runs and 37 stolen bases in 2011. The 23-year old shortstop was named as an all-star reserve in 2010.
