RetroBuzz: Prince K's Cecil

Prince Fielder signed a whopping 9-year, $214 million contract today with the Detroit Tigers. Prince's dad, Cecil, was also a star first baseman on the Tigers (he hit 245 homers over seven years in a Tigers uniform). Like father, like son... on the baseball field. 

Off the field? Not so much. Prince is not a fan of Cecil these days, and the two have rarely spoken in recent years.

But as a kid, Prince adored Cecil, and the two were frequently shown together at Cecil's baseball games. And in 1992, there was even a McDonald's commercial promoting triple cheeseburgers that features Prince and Cecil playing some backyard baseball. The jokes write themselves here:
