Oblak, who arrived from Benfica in 2014, has featured as manager Diego Simeone's preferred first-choice 'keeper this season, starting every one of Atletico's matches.

Despite leading the Spanish top flight with 14 clean sheets, a solid Atletico backline has resulted in limited opportunities for opponents. Oblak is averaging just over two saves per game.

Oblak, however, is the favourite to win La Liga's Ricardo Zamora Trophy as the league's leader for lowest goals-to-games ratio after allowing just 11 in 23 contests.

His arrival at the Vicente Calderon coincided with Thibaut Courtois' departure, when the Belgian's parent club, Chelsea, recalled him to feature as its first-team 'keeper.
