Enrique: It's 'incredible' Barcelona scored just 1 in defeat to Sevilla

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique praised Sevilla's work rate, but was also surprised his side didn't score more in their 2-1 loss at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.

Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi were among some important players missing for Barca as the visitors hit the woodwork three times and missed many chances overall.

Despite recording 20 less shots than Barcelona, goals from Michael Krohn-Delhi and Vicente Iborra were enough for Unai Emery's outfit to claim the win.

"To give an exact opinion I would have to watch the whole game, but it was a game in which both teams had many chances," Enrique said, according to ESPN FC. "It is incredible that we are leaving here having scored only once, and we had 10 minutes in which we were punished.

"They generated superiority. Sevilla must be congratulated for their effort and for the result."

Enrique doesn't seem interested in changing his team's approach in order to remedy goalscoring, which has been disappointing of late. The Catalan club tallied 12 strikes in seven games, compared to 19 at the same point last season, and 24 the season before.

"Normally, the type of players we have are top level," he said. "Coaches and teams look to have the highest possible number of chances, because great players can take them.

"We are not having our best numbers, but it will change - I have no doubt about that."

That change could come immediately after the international break, when Barcelona hosts Rayo Vallecano on Oct. 17.
