Uruguay manager Oscar Tabarez released Luis Suarez from the country's camp so Tabarez can properly evaluate alternate attacking options during their upcoming match against Chile.

Suarez, who scored during the country's 3-3 draw with Costa Rica on Thursday, is banned from participating in the upcoming Copa America because of the suspension he received following the biting incident at the 2014 World Cup.

Suarez will return to Barcelona and prepare for the team's Nov. 22 league match with Sevilla.

"We all know what Luis means to us, but we also know that we won't have him for the Copa America, so it's good to look at alternatives for playing without him," Uruguay captain Diego Godin said, according ESPNFC.

Suarez's nine-match international ban means he will miss the entirety of the Copa America when it takes place in Chile from June 11 to July 4, 2015.
