We have confirmation.

While Luis Suarez was always expected to make his competitive debut against Real Madrid ever since he received a four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique confirmed on Friday that the Uruguayan striker will indeed receive playing time during this weekend's Clasico.

Speaking at a press conference, Enrique stated: "He will have some minutes for sure. How many? That is the million dollar question. It is an important event for him. He'll have time on the pitch."

Suarez's World Cup biting offense was the third of his career, and FIFA subsequently handed him a four-month ban from all football-related activity in addition to a suspension of nine competitive international fixtures for Uruguay.

However, thanks the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which relaxed his ban in August, El Canibal has been allowed to feature in friendly matches and train with the Barcelona throughout the season.

While there are inevitably concerns over Suarez's lack of recent competitive action, don't forget than Johan Cruyff's debut for the Catalan club in 1973 saw him net a brace despite having missed the first seven games of the season.

If you need any more reason to get hyped up for Suarez's Barcelona debut, this video should do the trick.
