Jose Mourinho would welcome return to Real Madrid, denies Chelsea link to Cristiano Ronaldo

Even though Jose Mourinho's tenure with Real Madrid came to a tumultuous end, the Chelsea manager revealed he wouldn't have any second thoughts about returning to the Spanish club.

"Yes definitely," Mourinho told reporters, per the Telegraph, ahead of Chelsea's match against Manchester City. "It was an experience as a man and as a coach that I would repeat again without thinking twice."

One of the main obstacles to achieving consistent success with Madrid was the Portuguese manager's difficult relationship with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The two helped Madrid capture a trio of major trophies during their time together, but it appears the pair would rather leave their partnership in the past.

"There is no relationship," Mourinho said. "He plays for Real Madrid and I am Chelsea manager. We do not tend to meet in the street. There is no relationship, but there are memories. I remember the good times and the bad times.

"I must remember a kid who is a goal-scoring machine, who helped me to be a champion, to win the Copa del Rey and the Super Copa. Probably I also helped him."

With Ronaldo reportedly unsettled at Real Madrid and rumoured to be seeking a move away during next summer's transfer window, the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or winner is more likely to move back to his former club Manchester United than make a switch to London.
