Javier Mascherano hints at wholesale changes for Barcelona this summer
Javier Mascherano and his Barcelona teammates are preparing for their title showdown with Atletico Madrid on Sunday, and according to the Argentine himself, this could be the last time a few big-name stars play for the Catalan club.
Barcelona will head into the season finale at the Camp Nou knowing that a victory will be enough for them to leapfrog their opponents at the top of the table and claim the league championship for the fifth time in six years.
FOX Soccer has the details:
"The match against Atletico will be electric," Mascherano told Canal Plus.
"We just have to enjoy the build-up during the week and then the game itself; above all because it will decide the league title.
"Also, it could be the last game that some players play for Barca."
Now wouldn't that be a nice way to go out?
Mascherano, along with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Dani Alves have been tipped as players who could move on at the end of the season, with defender Carles Puyol and goalkeeper Victor Valdes already confirming that they will be playing elsewhere next year.
