Neymar will play no part in Sunday's edition of El Clasico.

On Thursday, the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol's Comite de Apelacion announced the dismissal of an appeal made by Barcelona, pointing to article 117 of its disciplinary code. The appeal was filed after Neymar was suspended for three matches, the result of being sent off and applauding the fourth official while entering the tunnel during the Blaugrana's 2-0 La Liga defeat at Malaga.

Neymar served the first match of his suspension as Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad 3-2 on Saturday, and El Clasico - which will take place four days after the Blaugrana's elimination from the Champions League - will mark the second game of his ban. The Catalan club's date with Osasuna will be the third game in which the Brazilian phenom can't play.

Neymar's dismissal at Malaga was his first since arriving at the Camp Nou. He received a yellow card for obstructing a free-kick by tying his shoelaces before receiving a second yellow card for a late challenge on Roberto Rosales.
