Celtic's Rodgers confused after reporter compares Messi to Nessie
A very unusual incident unfolded during Celtic's prematch news conference before it's Group C clash with Barcelona, involving manager Brendan Rodgers and one Spanish journalist.
According to ESPN FC's Chris Wright, the journalist was clearly speaking in his second language when he asked the Bhoys boss a question comparing Lionel Messi to the Loch Ness monster.
"It's hard to believe that you asked that question," Rodgers said in reaction.
Instead of elaborating on the way Messi sneaks around the pitch as if it was a murky lake in the Scottish Highlands, Rodgers said it was the worst question he has ever been asked.
"I don't really know so much about the Loch Ness monster but I know Lionel Messi is a brilliant player.
"But that was the worst question I've probably had. For sure, for sure."
Last time the two sides met in the Champions League back in September, the Catalan giant reigned supreme as Celtic suffered its worst-ever defeat in Europe, 7-0.
