Ronaldo aims to complete his 'best season' with Ballon d'Or
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo knows a Ballon d'Or win would round off the best year of his career and is hoping his impressive, unrivaled trophy haul is enough to merit the award in 2016.
Ronaldo is expected to pip Lionel Messi and the rest of the world's elite footballing talent to claim his fourth Ballon d'Or prize, due in part to his impressive work for both club and country.
"I've done everything for this season," Ronaldo told Telefoot, as quoted by ESPN FC. "We won the Champions League, I won the Euros with Portugal.
"The vote doesn't depend on me and I don't want to be obsessed with it.
"But if you ask me if I want to win the Ballon d'Or, I'd say yes. This year has been amazing for me, with all the trophies. It's my best season, no doubt about that."

Ronaldo is certainly in something of a groove this year as a Champions League and European Championship trophy have propelled the Portuguese to the top of the pile in world football.
It has also made him even more of a force on the field, as Atletico Madrid learned the hard way on Saturday as Ronaldo scored all three goals in a 3-0 drubbing in the Madrid derby.
