Real Madrid will have to look elsewhere for its future goalkeeper after Thibaut Courtois rubbished reports of a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Chelsea 'keeper claims that he has not been in contact with Los Blancos officials after his name popped up in various reports linking him with a move to the Spanish giants.

"I never had anything with Real Madrid. I did not see anything published, but I never had any contact with Real Madrid," Courtois told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, as translated by James Dale of Sky Sports.

A move to Spain in the future may not be out of the question after Courtois spent three seasons in the Spanish capital when Chelsea loaned him to Atletico Madrid. But, for now, Courtois is content with life in London.

"I am happy at Chelsea. Everything is going very well - it is a great club. There is no reason not to be happy at Chelsea. You never know what will happen in the future, but at the moment I am very well, in a very good atmosphere."

Although he has established himself as one of the Premier League's top shot-stoppers, Courtois has spoken openly about his affection for Atletico, and even left the door open for a possible return once his contract expires in 2018.
