Dybala: Juventus rejected an offer from Barcelona for me
Paulo Dybala considers Juventus' unwillingness to accept a substantial transfer offer from Barcelona as an indication of his value at the Italian side.
The Argentine confirmed that Barcelona attempted to bring him to the Camp Nou last summer, but Juventus was unwilling to part with its talented young forward.
Dybala - whose agent previously claimed Barcelona's offer was worth double the amount Juve paid Palermo - said he would only leave Juve if the situation was favourable for the club, as opposed to departing as a way to further his career.
"Juventus rejected an offer from Barcelona for me," Dybala told Lluis Miguelsanz of Sport, as translated by ESPN FC's Samuel Marsden. "It was a big offer and that means I'm an important player for the club and I have to thank them for that.
"It is difficult to reject these kinds of offers. What I have clear is that I'm at one of the best clubs in the world and I'm happy. If one day I decided to leave, it would only be for the good of the club and not for personal interests."
Since completing a €32-million move to Turin in 2015, Dybala has seen his value within the squad grow steadily.
Despite the high-profile arrival of Gonzalo Higuain - who arrived from Napoli in a transfer worth €90 million - Dybala has found the back of the net three times after starting seven of Juve's opening eight matches.
The 22-year-old managed to score 19 goals during his first Serie A campaign last year.
