Ronaldo enduring worst-ever goal drought at Bernabeu
Cristiano Ronaldo showed visible signs of frustration during Sunday's 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, and while that's far from uncommon for the candid Portuguese, there seems to be a simple explanation as to why the attacker looked more vexed than usual.
By missing some gilt-edged chances and going goalless once again, the 31-year-old is now enduring his worst-ever scoring drought at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The typically free-scoring Ronaldo hasn't found the net in a home match since blasting a free-kick in a Sept. 14 Champions League win over former club Sporting Lisbon.
In league play, he has managed a mere two goals in six matches overall this season - to go along with a pair of assists.
Despite his struggles, Madrid moved back into top spot in La Liga by virtue of its latest triumph, with Alvaro Morata stepping up to score the winner.
