It's finally official - Neymar signed a new five-year deal with Barcelona on Friday, completing negotiations that have been pending since July and extending the Brazilian's stay at the Camp Nou until 2021.

Neymar and Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu were photographed shaking hands as contracts were formally signed at last, with a €200-million buyout clause - potentially raised to €250 million - presumably locking the Brazilian down at the club for the foreseeable future.

Not that Neymar minds.

"Barcelona have incredible players. Before I joined the club I was a little intimidated," Neymar said, as quoted by ESPN FC's Samuel Marsden. "But once I got into the dressing room I could see that the players are very humble. They are great teammates and they have become my friends.

"I knew that Barcelona were something great and at first it was hard (to adjust) but they helped me adapt.

"I feel right at home and I am very happy."

Neymar will now receive €16 million per season, reports Spain's Sport, an increase that still nets him less than teammate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Though terms were agreed in the summer, Neymar's involvement at Rio 2016 -- where he guided Brazil to its first-ever gold medal in men's football - and his subsequent summer vacation delayed a formal signing.

Neymar has scored 90 goals in 149 appearances for Luis Enrique's side and has five goals and eight assists over eight matches in all competitions thus far this season.
