Ronaldo ready for Real Madrid season debut
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have much doubt regarding his weekend status as his side prepares to take on Osasuna on Saturday.
The Portugal captain has been dealing with a knee injury suffered during the final of Euro 2016, but two months on, Ronaldo has returned to training and says he's raring to go once more.
"I am fine, I am going to play," Ronaldo said, as quoted by ESPN FC.
While Ronaldo says he's feeling fit and ready to go, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane may have other ideas. According to Spanish daily Marca, Zidane will reportedly limit Ronaldo to 60 minutes of play on Saturday.
With Real Madrid playing seven matches in 22 days, Zidane is reportedly looking to integrate Ronaldo back into the team slowly, with overexertion a concern.
Ronaldo is looking to add even more silverware to his overflowing trophy case after guiding Madrid and Portugal to a Champions League and European Championship title, respectively, last season.
