Watch: Pitch invaders tackle Neymar during Brazil training
Reuters
Ahead of Wednesday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Colombia, Brazil hosted an open training session in Manaus where even the hordes of security staffed to protect the nation's football stars could do little to safeguard its copper-topped Olympic hero.
Among the 15,000 in attendance were a few enterprising fans who took to the pitch to swarm Barcelona star Neymar, who on the heels of an influential role in Rio, has again inspired supporters of the footballing power who have been mired in a relatively dismal slump.
No stranger to the perils of gravity, Neymar does go down rather easily, though thankfully the 24-year-old Santos product did emerge unscathed.
