Valencia inks Real Madrid product Medran to 4-year deal
Valencia made Alvaro Medran its second signing of the season Monday, reaching an agreement with Real Madrid over the transfer of the 22-year-old midfielder.
Medran, who spent the past season on loan at Getafe, put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Los Che.
Brought up through Madrid's youth ranks, Medran managed to excite supporters with a goal in his Champions League debut against Ludogorets in a 4-0 win in December 2014. But he struggled to get regular chances throughout the 2014-15 season, and despite interest from the Premier League, he signed with Getafe.
Medran enjoyed his first senior campaign as a stater in the south of Madrid, scoring twice in 20 appearances.
Considered the next Isco, the Cordoba native likes to push forward. He can play on either side of the central midfielder.
Nani, a recently crowned Euro 2016 champion with Portugal, was announced as Valencia's first signing last week.
