His new contract also includes a €200-million buyout clause that will increase over the next three seasons. That figure will rise to €222 million and €250 million during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 Liga seasons, respectively.
The contract extension will be formally announced July 15 before Neymar joins the Brazilian national team for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu revealed Thursday that the 24-year-old was close to agreeing to a new long-term contract, with Neymar also expressing his desire to remain at the club on social media when he posted the message, "Very happy to continue living this dream! Long live Barca and long live Catalonia."
Since joining Barcelona from Brazilian side Santos in 2013, Neymar has found the back of the net 55 times in 93 league matches.
He's also played an integral role in helping the Catalan giants win a pair of La Liga titles, a Champions League title and two Copa del Rey trophies.
