Florentino Perez never wants to see Cristiano Ronaldo don the kit of another side.

The Real Madrid president, speaking after the club's Champions League triumph over Atletico Madrid on Saturday in a match that saw Ronaldo slot home the winning penalty, says he wants the Portuguese to retire as a member of Los Blancos.

"I want him to stay here forever, because he's one of the pillars of the club and is part of history. Madrid with Cristiano marks a point in time," he said.

Ronaldo's lucrative contract is set to expire in 2018, at which point he'll be 33 years old.

Perez also discussed the impact of manager Zinedine Zidane, the former Real star who is now making his mark on the touchline, only padding his iconic status with the Spanish side after scoring the winning goal in the 2002 edition of the Champions League final with his infamous swinging volley against Bayer Leverkusen.

"Zidane, for me, for Madrid and its history, has been very important," he noted. "He changed history in 2002, and he has won the Champions League as a player, an assistant and now as the coach."
