This is not the place for legitimate reports and completed deals. Here, we compile the ludicrous transfer rumours that arise during this month of madness in the football world. Each day until the summer transfer window shuts, theScore will provide a rundown of the most outlandish babble from the backpages, briefing you on the transfer gossip throughout Europe.

Here's what the rumour mill is churning out today:

Galatasaray inexplicably intrigued by Balotelli

Mario Balotelli may have found a suitor tolerant of regular drops in form, strikers who do not score, and purveyors of bizarre off-field behaviour after Galatasaray has reportedly thrown its hat in the ring to sign Liverpool's on-loan forward.

Having lost Burak Yilmaz to Chinese side Beijing Guoan in January, the Istanbul giant may feel compelled to offer the enigmatic Italian a lifeline, according to a report from The Mirror.

One man's garbage is another man's gold, and with Liverpool desperate to offload Balotelli's £80,000-a-week wage, Galatasaray might just take a risk on the 25-year-old who has one goal in 20 league appearances for AC Milan this past season.

Why always me? Who knows.

ZZ top, for now

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez awoke late this morning, rolled out of his custom bed fashioned from the souls of managers past and exclaimed, "If we don't win the Champions League I'm firing Zidane."

He then scrolled through his Rolodex in search of Unai Emery's number, with reports suggesting that Perez is targeting Sevilla's thrice-consecutive Europa League-winning manager for the top job at the Bernabeu.

With 13 managers under his belt since taking the presidency in 2000, Perez is notoriously fickle, with reports suggesting that he has asked Emery to delay decisions on a potential Everton switch until after Saturday's continental final between Real and Atletico Madrid.

Sing when you're winning and sack the gaffer when you're not, unless of course it's Carlo Ancelotti, who secured Real's Decima only to be shown the exit shortly thereafter.

You only live once, that's the motto, Breel Embolo

Is this Breel life, or is this just fantasy?

Tottenham may be asking itself that, as the search for a partner for Harry Kane has led the Spurs to Basel and talented nine-time capped Swiss teen Breel Embolo, with the Express conceding that the north Londoners have a serious shot at one of Europe's most coveted young forwards.

Kane appeared in 50 matches in all comps for the Spurs this past season, signalling a dire need for a second striker to compliment the England international, prompting Mauricio Pochettino's interest in Embolo, Marseille's Michy Batshuayi, and any other player better than Heung Min-Son.
