Ronaldo admits son teases him about Bale's speed
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo may consider himself among the fastest players in the world, but his son, Cristiano Jr., thinks his dad's teammate Gareth Bale might be just a touch faster.
The charismatic Portuguese icon spoke with Jugones de la Sexta, revealing he plans on retiring in the Spanish capital, and also admitted his son teases him sometimes about his footballing abilities.
"I always said it was a dream to have a son, he changed me a lot," Ronaldo told Jugones de la Sexta, according to Goal.com. "Sometimes he comes at home and says 'Daddy, Bale is faster than you.' And I say 'what are you on about? No one is faster than your dad!'
"And he says 'yes but at school they told me he is faster and in an interview (Lionel) Messi said that he'd like to have your right foot.' He comes up with these things and it gives me joy, he's a kid."
The 31-year-old will hope that his speed and right foot come in handy during his team's second go at the Champions League title against Atletico Madrid on Saturday. The two teams meet once more in the final, a rematch of the 2014 affair that saw Real Madrid claim La Decima: its 10th Champions League crown.
