Pedro has no regrets over Chelsea move

Chelsea winger Pedro said he has no regrets over joining the slumping Premier League outfit this past season, despite the fact that his former club Barcelona won yet another La Liga crown in the 2015-16 campaign.

The Spanish attacker joined Jose Mourinho's side last summer to the tune of £21.1 million, and was seen as one of the Blues' more high-profile acquisitions, but failed to earn a consistent starting role as Chelsea struggled to a mid-table finish.

But Pedro says he remains happy with his choice as he prepares to fight for a spot under incoming manager Antonio Conte.

"I am really happy here and have no regrets about the decision I made to join Chelsea," Pedro told the London Evening Standard. "I am already looking forward to next season in terms of what we can achieve and putting the club back where it should be.

"Of course when you move away from your city there are certain things you will miss but, generally speaking, I am settled in this country."

Pedro made 29 appearances this season for the Blues, starting 24 matches and scoring seven goals. That's certainly a respectable haul from the Premier League newcomer, but the 28-year-old promised more for next season.

"Is the best still to come from me? Absolutely. I always keep faith in myself and my abilities," Pedro said. "I'm sure next season will be a great one for me and the club. I’m really looking forward to fighting for the Premier League, which will be a dream for me."
