The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has confirmed that the national squad will be without Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos and Atletico Madrid full-back Juanfran for its friendlies against England and Belgium.

Ramos scored his side's opener with a fantastic bicycle kick in Sunday's 3-2 defeat at Sevilla, but remained on the ground afterwards clutching his troublesome shoulder. There is no current timeline for his return to competitive action.

Juanfran suffered a thigh strain during the Rojiblancos' 1-0 home win over Sporting Gijon. The ailment is described as a grade two muscular injury in the abductor region of his left thigh, a setback which can require between three and six weeks of rest.

In the duo's place, Vicente del Bosque has called Ramos' Real defensive colleague Nacho Fernandez and Athletic Bilbao's versatile Oscar de Marcos to the squad, giving the latter a chance to make his international bow for Spain.
