Oilers sign Gagner to two-year extension
Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - The Edmonton Oilers and center Sam Gagner agreed to terms on a two-year contract on Sunday.
Last season with Edmonton, his third in the NHL, he posted 15 goals and 26 assists over 68 games.
"Sam is a key part of our organization moving forward," said Edmonton general manager Steve Tambellini. "We are looking forward to him taking on a larger role with our club."
The sixth overall pick of Edmonton in the 2007 draft, he has appeared in 223 games and has totaled 44 goals and 87 assists.
