Pato helps Milan open season with big win

Rome, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan opened its 2010-11 Italian Serie A campaign with an impressive 4-0 win over Lecce on Sunday.

Alexandre Pato scored twice and Thiago Silva once in the opening half-hour before Filippo Inzaghi closed out the impressive showing with a 90th minute goal to lead the Rossoneri to victory.

The 20-year-old Pato started the scoring when he converted Massimo Ambrosini's set-up in the 16th minute before Silva made it 2-0 seven minutes later.

Pato made it 3-0 in the 29th when he ran onto a Ronaldinho pass, cut around the 'keeper and slotted home.

Inzaghi closed out the scoring in the closing seconds.

In other Serie A action on Sunday afternoon, it was: Chievo 2, Catania 1; Fiorentina 1, Napoli 1; Palermo 0, Cagliari 0; Parma 2, Brescia 0; Sampdoria 2, Lazio 0.

Earlier in the day, Juventus fell to Bari, 1-0, thanks to a Massimo Donati goal.

On Saturday, Genoa topped Udinese, 1-0, and Roma and Cesena battled to a scoreless draw.
