Andrew Wiggins wins Naismith Award

Canadian basketball phenom Andrew Wiggins was named the Naismith Award winner on Monday as the high school player of the year in the United States.

The Thornhill, Ontario native and Huntington Prep player is the most highly sought talent in the 2013 recruiting class. Wiggins, 18, is also considered the top prospect eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft.

Earlier this month, Wiggins was named to the 2013 McDonald's All American Game.

Wiggins is said to be deciding between attending Florida State, where both of his parents went, North Carolina, Kentucky and Kansas.
