Tremmel signs Swansea extension
Swansea, Wales (Sports Network) - Gerhard Tremmel has become the latest player to pledge his future to Swansea City as it was announced Thursday that the goalkeeper signed a contract extension with the Premier League club.
The 34-year-old's new two-and-a-half-year deal comes the same week as Leon Britton and Garry Monk inking extensions with the club. Tremmel's contract includes an option for an additional year.
"Since the first day I joined this club, I knew something special was happening," said Tremmel. "I have been at a number of clubs, but the feeling here between the players, staff and supporters is different."
The German 'keeper previously enjoyed stints at Hannover, Energie Cottbus and Red Bull Salzburg.
