Lakers' World Peace suspended

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without forward Metta World Peace for tonight's game against the Brooklyn Nets after the league handed him a one-game suspension for an incident Sunday vs the Detroit Pistons.
World Peace was assessed a flagrant-one foul in the first half against the Pistons for grabbing Brandon Knight around the neck, while also throwing a punch.
After the game, Knight updated the foul.
"He threw a punch," Knight said. "He held me at first. I was trying to push him off of me That's when he threw a punch. That's when I tried to push him in the face, or whatever it was, whatever I did."
The Lakers are 22-26 on the season, 10th in the Western Conference.
