Report: Mavs' D-League team courting Iverson

The Dallas Mavericks' D-League affiliate, the Texas Legends, are reportedly trying to lure former NBA superstar Allen Iverson, according to ESPN.
The 37-year-old, who last played in 2010-11 for Turkish club Besiktas, hasn't played in the NBA since the 2009-10 season, when he averaged 13.8 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 28 games with the Grizzlies and 76ers. Iverson, the NBA's 19th all-time leading scorer, posted prolific career averages of 26.7 points, 6.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game in 14 NBA seasons with the Sixers, Nuggets, Pistons and Grizzlies.
The 11-time All Star won an MVP award with Philadelphia in 2000-01, the same season Iverson led the 76ers to the NBA Finals.
