UPDATE 2: The Celtics have made it official.

 

UPDATE: According to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, Rondo may have a torn ACL, which would end his season.

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was a late scratch for Sunday's game against the Miami Heat with a hyperextended right knee. The team announced he was sent to a local hospital to undergo an MRI.

Rondo was injured in Friday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

On the season, he is averaging 13.7 points per game and 11.1 assists per game.

Courtney Lee started in his place against Miami.
