Maple Leafs recall Gardiner from Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenceman Jake Gardiner from the Toronto Marlies, according to Chris Johnston.

Gardiner, who returned to the lineup Wednesday vs. Pittsburgh, after suffering from concussion-like symptoms, was returned to the AHL after Thursday's loss to the Islanders.

In 23 games this year for the Marlies, he has recorded nine goals and nine assists.

The AHL is currently on their All-Star Break.
