Report: Bobcats in contact with NBA to change name

According to a tweet from ESPN's Marc Stein, the Charlotte Bobcats are reportedly "in contact" with the NBA in an attempt to reclaim their old name - the Hornets.

The Hornets were the name of Charlotte's basketball team from 1988-2002 before moving to New Orleans. Charlotte was granted a new franchise in 2004. With the New Orleans Hornets changing their name to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Bobcats will seek to change their name back to the original moniker.
