Phil Jackson says he's done with coaching

Phil Jackson made a bold statement on Tuesday, and it's not an encouraging one for teams like the Brooklyn Nets, who reportedly hoped to land the 11-time champion. "I have no intention of ever coaching again," Jackson told SheridanHoops.com in an interview.

Jackson was considered the favourite to replace Mike Brown once the Lakers fired Brown earlier this season, but he was passed over as Los Angeles surprisingly hired Mike D'Antoni instead. Since then, Jackson's name has come up as a target for the Nets, who recently fired coach Avery Johnson.

The Nets are 6-1 since firing Johnson and handing the interim head coaching job to P.J. Carlesimo.
