Report: Indians make offer to Swisher

Free agent outfielder Nick Swisher has reportedly received an offer from the Cleveland Indians, according to Jon Heyman, but is still in line to meet with another team.

Swisher visited with the Indians in Cleveland on Monday.

The 32-year-old veteran batted .272 with 24 home runs and 93 RBI in 148 games with the Yankees last season, but batted just .167 in eight post-season games. Swisher has a career batting average of .256 to go with 209 home runs and 673 RBI in nine Major League seasons with the Yankees, White Sox and A's.
