Kevin Love suffers thumb contusion

After returning early from a broken hand a couple weeks ago, Kevin Love has suffered another hand injury. During Minnesota's 113-102 victory over New Orleans, Love hurt his thumb, in what is being called a thumb contusion. He managed to play the entire contest.

According to the report, Love is being listed as day-to-day and he was non-commital as to whether he would play Saturday.

Earlier this week, Love expressed some displeasure with the way the Timberwolves are being run. His criticisms stemmed from not receiving a max contract and not having a winning team around him in previous years.

"I'm not going to fall back and say I didn't mean the things that I said,'' Love said. "I do believe this is the closest-knit team that we have, the coaching staff has been great and we have a chance to make something very special this year and for years to come.''
