KC 26, PHI 16: Andy Reid victorious in return to Philadelphia

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 3-0 as they knocked off the Eagles 26-16 in Andy Reid's return to Philadelphia.  Here's what you need to know.

  • Andy Reid won in his return to Philadelphia.  Reid is in his first year with Kansas City after spending the previous 14 seaons with the Eagles
  • With three wins already this year the Chiefs have surpassed their entire win total from the 2012 season
  • Jaamal Charles was key for Kansas City, rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries while adding 80 receiving yards on seven catches
  • Donnie Avery had one of the best games of his career.  His 141 receiving yards are the most he's had since putting up 163 as a rookie in 2008
  • The Eagles have now lost eight straight home games
  • Despite the loss, LeSean McCoy was brilliant for Philadelphia.  He left the game late in the second quarter due to injury but returned to put up 158 rushing yards, his 14th career 100-yard game
  • Both quarterbacks entered the game carrying long streaks without throwing an interception.  Michael Vick threw a pick on his second attempt of the game, ending his streak at 95, while Alex Smith has now attempted 134 straight passes without throwing an interception 
  • Eric Berry returned an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter, the second pick-six of his career
  • Vick had a career-high 61-yard run during the first quarter
  • The Eagles turned the ball over four times in the first half, they had only committed two turnovers total in their first two games of the season
  • Philadelphia retired the No. 5 of former quarterback Donovan McNabb during halftime
  • Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston had a huge game with 4.5 sacks, bringing his total on the year to 7.5 after only three games.  He also forced a fumble and recovered two more
  • Kansas City dominated the ball with nearly 40 minutes of possession time
