Celtics' Rondo suspended two games

The Boston Celtics will be without guard Rajon Rondo for the two games, after he was suspended by the league for his role in Wednesday's incident between the Nets and Celtics, according to ESPN.

Rondo delivered a two-handed shove to Kris Humphries after the Nets' forward sent Celtics forward Kevin Garnett to the floor. Teammates soon jumped in, resulting in ejections to Rondo, Humphries and Gerald Wallace.

Asked today if he felt he deserved to suspended, Rondo said:

"I told them the truth," Rondo said of his conversation with the league. "I don't know what's going to happen. They haven't made a decision yet, so I'm just waiting to hear back from the league. I went through practice today hoping I'll play tomorrow, but you never know."

Celtics coach Doc Rivers didn't think he should have been suspended.
