Royals meet with Mets over Dickey

The Kansas City Royals have met with the New York Mets regarding starting pitcher R.A. Dickey, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.
The 38 year old knuckleballer won the 2012 NL Cy Young award after posting a 20-6 record with the Mets on the strength of a 2.73 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Dickey is currently set to make $5 million in 2013 with one year left on his contract and is reportedly looking for an extension.
According to Heyman's report, the Royals have also spoken to Boston about Jon Lester and Tampa Bay about James Shields.
