Report: Percy Harvin out for week 12

UPDATE:

Tom Pelissero has reported on Twitter that the Vikings are still holding onto a small hope that Harvin may play. Pelissero reports that the Vikings have a "slim hope" that Harvin will practice tomorrow but, if he can't, he will not be suiting up Sunday against the Bears.

According to a tweet from CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will not play in the Vikings week 12 contest against the Chicago Bears. Harvin suffered a sprained ankle in the Vikings' week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and has not seen game action since. There was hope that Harvin's condition would improve with the Vikings coming off a bye week but he missed two practices this week before being ruled out for Sunday's game.

Harvin had been enjoying a very good season for the Vikings before his injury. Through 9 games this season, Harvin has 62 receptions for 677 yards and 3 touchdowns, including 3 games with over 100 yards receiving.
