Flyers' Giroux sent to hospital with neck injury

Philadelphia Flyers star Claude Giroux was sent to hospital on Saturday after sustaining a neck injury, according to Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Giroux was injured after receiving a check to the head in a game with Eisbaren Berlin of the German Elite League. However Seravalli has reported that Giroux said that it was not a serious injury.

There is currently no timetable for his return, though he is expected to return to practice this week.
