It's been over five years since Ronaldo and Sir Alex Ferguson last lifted the Premier League trophy together at Old Trafford, but it looks like the pair are just as close as ever.
After scoring a brace against Sevilla on Tuesday to give Real Madrid their second-ever UEFA Super Cup title, Ronaldo caught a glimpse of his former manager during the trophy presentation. Judging by Ronaldo's reaction, he didn't expect to see Ferguson in the stands, and the heartwarming exchange that ensued will have Manchester United supporters missing the mid-2000s.
Ferguson was part of UEFA's technical committee for the fixture and chose Ronaldo as the man of the match before presenting him with the award himself.
The Portuguese superstar subsequently dedicated the award to Ferguson, claiming: "I am happy because I scored these two goals and I want to thank Sir Alex for handing me the man of the match trophy. He helped me a lot when I was just 18 in Manchester and I want to say I respect him and thank him so much for everything he did in my career."
