D'Antoni: "If we're not in the hunt, I've failed"

Los Angeles Lakers new head coach Mike D'Antoni is already taking the burden of expectations on his shoulders.

In just his second day on the job, D'Antoni said "I'm going to do everything I can do to win a championship. If we're not at least in the hunt, a serious hunt, then I've failed as a head coach. I'm comfortable with that."

The Lakers fired head coach Mike Brown on Friday after they started 1-4.

In discussing what offence the Lakers will run D"antoni said: "I think we can run whatever system in that we know the principles we want to run and we'll tweak it to be efficient."
