Blue Jays acquire Jeffress from Royals

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired pitcher Jeremy Jeffress from the Kansas City Royals for cash considerations.
Jeffress, who was acquired from the Brewers in the deal that sent Zack Greinke to Milwaukee, pitched in 13 games last season for the Royals, posting a 6.75 ERA in 13.1 innings.
The hand-throwing right-hander was a first round selection (16th overall) of the Brewers in the 2006 draft.
