Report: Mariners claim Scott Cousins off waivers from Jays
According to a tweet from Sportsnet's Shi Davidi, the Seattle Mariners have claimed Scott Cousins off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. Cousins, a third-round draft choice of the Marlins in 2006, owns a .183 average in 128 games over parts of the last three seasons with Miami. The 27- year-old spent the majority of 2012 with Triple-A New Orleans and batted .296 with 14 stolen bases.
Cousins was claimed by the Jays on October 17th but was not added to the 40-man roster.
