Packers' Matthews to miss a "couple of weeks"

Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews will likely miss two to three weeks of action, according to the team's official Twitter account.

Matthews has a history of hamstring injuries throughout his pro career, but according to head coach Mike McCarthy, Matthews says it doesn't feel "as bad as it was in the past." Matthews will be able to spend one of his recovery weeks on the bye week with the Packers off until they play the Detroit Lions on November 18, though he may not be ready to return for that game.

Through nine weeks of the season the Packers are 6-3. Matthews is currently tied for second in the NFL in sacks with 9.0. He has 38.5 sacks through 55 career games.
