Isles' prospect De Haan done for year
New York Islanders prospect Calvin De Haan is being shut down for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in an AHL game according to the team's official twitter feed.
De Haan was injured in the closing minutes of Saturday's win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He had recorded two points in three games with the Sound Tigers thus far in 2012-13 and had an assist on Saturday prior to being injured. Last season, De Haan recorded 16 points in 56 games with Bridgeport.
The 21 year old Ottawa native was drafted 12th overall in the 2009 entry draft by the Islanders. He has played one career game in the NHL with New York.
